The HOtel Towel fit!

The hotel towel fit!  You know, we were so overweight the small hotel towel was never big enough to wrap around our curves.

We keep talking about small gains.  When I started the weight loss journey, I did not see the loss.  Friends and family kept commenting on my weight loss but I didn't see it in the mirror or even feel it within my clothes.

It probably took about 15 pounds before I saw anything.  It was small, my pants weren't pulling around my waist.  They were fitting the way they were supposed to.  I wasn't in a smaller size yet but fitting into my current size more appropriately.

I think we all start this with some specific goals.  A pair of jeans that we want to fit into, a specific weight, a specific clothing size.  I have 2!  to be in a size 10 and to not have a double chin.  So, for me, every time I looked in the mirror, I did not see the progress.

Thank goodness for others!  They kept commenting positively on the changes.  It's interesting how we cannot hear positive thoughts from ourselves as loudly as we should.  It's so hard to look inward and give ourselves grace.

Then I started noticing the small changes, and I mean small!  My rings were all a little bit big.  My socks no longer left that imprint on my ankles.  My boots were loose on my calves.  We should be celebrating these small wins!  The weight loss journey is long and honestly not linear, why are we not grateful for the small gains!

One of the amazing things was the joy and celebration that Anne from Altranais also had for me as I called to tell her!  It's so important to have such an amazing supporter in our medical provider.

So, cheers!  The hotel towel fit!  What are your small gains?  Let’s celebrate together!

Gratefully,

Kristen (GLP-1 user and Altranais Wellness client)
